AUTOPLAY is a simple way to add a professional AutoPlay feature to the CDs and DVDs that you create. The registered version of AUTOPLAY supports a personalised 'splash screen' graphic and playing music (Wave or MIDI) while the desired application or document is being loaded.

Installing AutoPlay?

Installing AUTOPLAY

AUTOPLAY is a Windows 9x/Me/NT/2000/XP program. It does not require any additional .DLLs, but does require an AUTORUN.INF to be located in the program directory.

To install AUTOPLAY:

AutoPlay's Features

AutoPlay offers you the following benefits:

  • Create professional-looking self-starting CDs and DVDs in minutes!
  • Get started quickly with the AutoPlay Configuration Utility (APCfg), that takes you step-by-step through creating the AutoPlay configuration file.
  • Gives the user "instant feedback" when the CD or DVD is inserted, since your logo and copyright information appears on the screen.
  • Create a professional CD menu with the AutoPlay Menu Utility (APMenu)

Registering AutoPlay

Registering AUTOPLAY

AUTOPLAY is not free! AUTOPLAY (including AutoPlay, the AutoPlay Menu and the AutoPlay Configuration Utility) is shareware, meaning that you are entitled to evaluate it before you decide to purchase it. This evaluation period allows you to use AUTOPLAY on five (5) CDs or DVDs. After this evaluation period, you must either register your copy of AUTOPLAY, or discontinue use and remove it from your system.

Private Persons: If you find this program useful and find that you are using AUTOPLAY and continue to use it after a reasonable trial of 5 CD-Rs, you must make a registration payment of US$ 13.50 (plus any shipping and handling fees) to James Greene. This registration fee will license you to use AUTOPLAY on an unlimited number of privately produced CDs and DVDs.

The Personal license for AutoPlay is linked to a single "Copyright=" text string. If you would like to use AutoPlay for various CD with different Copyright= texts, you should order the Professional license, below.

Click here to register a personal AutoPlay license on-line.
Total registration cost US$13.50.

Commercial Users: Commercial users of AUTOPLAY (or use of AUTOPLAY on a commercial CD or DVD) must register and pay for their copies of AUTOPLAY before the media is distributed.

A professional license includes the option for a custom-built version of AutoPlay version, with your "splash" graphic built in. Alternatively, you can have a version of AutoPlay without the default pop-up splash screen image, resulting in a 230KB executable. This custom-built version can be used with any "Copyright=" text you choose.

Click here to register a professional AutoPlay license on-line.
Total registration cost US$49.00.
