AUTO-PLAY is a simple way to add a professional Auto-Play feature to the CDs and DVDs that you create. The registered version of AUTO-PLAY supports a personalised 'splash screen' graphic and playing music (Wave or MIDI) while the desired application or document is being loaded.
Installing AUTO-PLAY
AUTO-PLAY is a Windows XP/Vista/7 (32- and 64-bit) program. It does not require any additional .DLLs, but does require an AUTORUN.INF to be located in the program directory.
To install AUTO-PLAY:
- Download the Auto-Play v3.1.132 distribution kit from
http://www.informatics-consulting.ch/software/apinstall31.exe
[Switzerland] or from
http://www.informatics-consulting.de/software/apinstall31.exe [Germany] - Install Auto-Play by executing apinstall31.exe.
Auto-Play's Features
Auto-Play offers you the following benefits:
- Create professional-looking self-starting CDs and DVDs in minutes!
- Get started quickly with the Auto-Play Configuration Utility (APConfig), that takes you step-by-step through creating the Auto-Play configuration file.
- Gives the user "instant feedback" when the CD or DVD is inserted, since your logo and copyright information appears on the screen.
- Create a professional, interactive menu with the Auto-Play Menu Utility (APMenu)
Registering AUTO-PLAY
Auto-Play is not free! Auto-Play, the Auto-Play Configuration Utility (APConfig), the Auto-Play Menu (APMenu) and the Auto-Play Application Chain Launcher (APChain) (hereafter referred to as AUTO-PLAY) are shareware, meaning that you are entitled to evaluate the AUTO-PLAY before you decide to purchase it. This evaluation period allows you to use AUTO-PLAY on up to five (5) personal (non-commercial) media (including CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs, CD-ROMs and DVD-RAM, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, etc.). After this evaluation period, you must either register your copy of AUTO-PLAY or discontinue using it and remove it from your system.
Private Persons: If you find this program useful and find that you are using AUTO-PLAY and continue to use it after a reasonable trial of 5 media, you must make a registration payment for a personal license (US$ 13.50 plus any applicable taxes, shipping and handling fees) to James Greene. This registration fee will license you to use AUTO-PLAY on an unlimited number of privately produced media.
Commercial Users: Commercial users of AUTO-PLAY (or use of AUTO-PLAY on a commercial media) must register and pay for their copies of the AUTO-PLAY before the media is distributed. An AUTO-PLAY professional license costs US$ 49.00 (plus any applicable taxes, shipping and handling fees).
